Rare or localised A small compact tree with a very dense canopy . this species is unusual in cultivation, and very similar to Pinus radiata but it two needled. Other known plantings occur at Creswick Botanic Gardens.This tree has a double leader. An uncommon species in cultivation in Victoria, they were planted by Harold Brookes in the 1930s to provide shade for his collection of rhododendrons.
